What will be done

An interdisciplinary Master educational program in environmental and process engineering must be developed. This program should cover the problems of air quality, solid waste and waste water control and treatment technologies in a multidisciplinary approach. I.e. that such a program may provide students with multidisciplinary education between management, ecological and engineering issues necessary to work in the industry of waste management.

The proposed National Project intends to develop Master program "Ecological Management in Volga-Caspian region" on the speciality of "Waste" in accordance with the changing needs of a process of reforming and modernization of higher education in Russia adapted to the European Standard. This program should be especially created on the base of the Master Program "WASTE (Ai Quality Control, Solid Waste and Waste Water Process Engineering)"of Stuttgart Technical University and the other European Universities operating in the project consortium. It should be introduced into the teaching process of the Technical Universities of Samara, Saratov, Volgograd, Astrakhan and Kazan.
